With the support of the Southern Arizona Manufacturing Partners and the Pima County One Stop, Desert View High School’s iSTEM Academy and Precision Manufacturing students earn paid internships, industry certifications, and college credit from Pima Community College preparing students for numerous opportunities post high school. The industry certificates focus in 3D Design from Solid Works and Mastercam as well as from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). Desert View’s Precision Manufacturing program, a NIMS Nationally Accredited program and Pima JTED program has been recognized at both the state and national level as exemplary, preparing students to directly enter the workforce with industry recognized credentials and a solid foundation to continue on and pursue an Associates Degree.
